I think that one of the guys is playing as a light character. He is fast as hell.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for the video.

I didn’t see which one you meanth that was super fast, but why is that guys gun moving so much??

0:09 the guy in the middle. I don’t know if he is playing as a light character or a medium.

(Slade05) #4

Wouldn`t call that fast at all, normal ETQW movement speed.

(rami730) #5

So that’s a medium, I thought it was a light. Then I guess the light body type will be much faster than that O,o

(LyndonL) #6

Yeah, that sprint speed as a medium looks good to me. I know a lot of the Quake guys will still think it’s too slow, but looks good to me

(Humate) #7

lol did that dude on the right die from his own turret?

(Seyu) #8

Looks as if the gun is dry-humping the player’s arm. Seems it just happens while sprinting so, not a problem.

(tokamak) #9

I truly don’t understand why we can’t have a good lengty, tense HD video spanning a full game start to finish. The alternative now is getting our brink fix through crappy cams.

(Mustang) #10

All the head and weapon bob makes me nauseous
Hope it can be turned off

(DarkangelUK) #11

It would probably look faster at higher FOV, most ETQW players are on 110 or there abouts which makes it look faster than it is.

(MrX) #12

Yes its kind of slow but changing fov may give u some sense of more speed but definetely is slow

Also i dont like how the gun bounces when he moves its a bit irritating

Bob and Roll has been optional in all SD titles, pretty sure it will be in brink too

(trigg3r) #14

this ^^

i also wonder if there’s a reason why we still haven’t seen a light or heavy bodytype gameplay. And if i’m not mistaken the ppl at the PAX event can only play as a medium. I have faith in SD and Brink but that got me a little worried

welcome to the forums btw

(Slade05) #15

I think that much bob is to additionally articulate that, when sprinting, your aim goes to ****.

(trigg3r) #16

yeah, i think it was in the last Q&A that they mentioned that you could shoot while sprinting or while doing any of the smart moves, but your accuracy will be reduced

You are mistaken, all three body types are/were playable at PAX. My friend played as heavy and medium and I played as medium and light.

(Schwarzeis) #18
  1. How much more health did the Heavy have over the Medium and the Light? Was it noticable?
  2. Could you notice the speed differences, or were they really, really small?
  3. How many pips did the Heavy have over the other two body types? Or is it true that all got the same amount now?

(Maawdawg) #19

I’ll write up impressions and what I could pick up tonight or tomorrow. I am not going to do QA all over the place on the forum though, I’ll just end up repeating myself. Once I post the thread I’ll try to answer questions and stuff. The body type differences are noticeable speed and mobility difference for sure though. The other stuff I will ask my friend as he played heavy and I didn’t. I’ll try to add stuff that to my thread too.

(DouglasDanger) #20

Yeah, you could save yourself a lot of harassment if you just posted your impressions once, in this thread. Some forumers are desperate for info, haha.
