New Anti-cheat false alarms?

Just got kicked from a game and got “you were kicked due to a game security violation” message. I don’t use any third party software, only apps running in background were steam, chrome and spotify. anyone else getting this or just a fluke screw up with new anti-cheat?

You couldn’t look up those other thousand threads on the first pages about it, could you?
It’s a new anti-cheat, it has bugs and kicks people for nothing sometimes.

This issue is caused when the anti-cheat crashes, when it does it believes you made it do so with third party programs and as such kicks you from the game. This is all it does, it’s annoying but should be fixed soon.

well actually there is nothing on the new anti-cheat about false alarm kicking until about 4th page in general. I just want to get information and make sure the Dev team is aware of the bugs so they can fix it. sue me for wanting to help. I wasn’t complaining or anything just looking for info that Jesse gave. thanks man

Anytime! Also the reason for that is because this topic is being discussed to death under Bug Reporting, technically it shouldn’t be here in general at all, common mistake though.

As much as it pains me to say, if you’re looking for news you’re better off checking ribbit. Developers these days don’t seem to really care about their forums - I know technically these aren’t theirs but they should have shit like that stickied anyway.

just came back after a little break playing DayZ and I’m getting kicked for the same bug. Seems it’s been broken for a week now. Painful.

Yep, same here. Getting kicked for the same crap. Can we get some kind of confirmation here that they know about and are sorting it or do they just not give a shit?

The new AC seems to react on background software doing something like giving you a notification on the task bar. it can be something stupid like your web browser telling you a download is complete or that movie you were converting was complete. boom! kicked because of game security violation when the notification balloon appears on your task bar. lol

the anti-cheat system is a joke people who don’t cheat get kicked but people who oneshot aimbot get to leave games with 150/3 kdr gotta love it right

I think this one is going off a little too frequent.

Every other game I join, I get kicked for NGS security vioaltion.
