Nerd Porn (what's on your computer wishlist?)

(watsyurdeal) #1

I’ll start

  1. Asus Strix 980 Ti

Looks beastly, and performs like a monster, a Titan X essentially for 300 less.

  1. Mionix Castor

I love my Deathadder…but this looks super tempting, better sensor, egronmics, and a DPI switch).

  1. Asus Claymore

Cherry MX switches, rgb lighting, and the number pad can come off, so it can be tenkeyless for when I wanna play, and a normal keyboard if I got work to do.

(XavienX) #2

Basically the best sh*t that exists, me want.

(gg2ez) #3

ASUS 980Ti Poseidon, Quad SLI.

(Samniss_Arandeen) #4

CM Storm Quickfire Rapid with Cherry MX Browns.

(CCP115) #5

@Watsyurdeal The Asus Claymore looks a lot like the Corsair K95, the only difference is the detachable number pad.

As for what I want, I would love to have a Hyper X Cloud.

Razer Abyssus 2014, or Mionix Avior 7000, I head that it uses a better sensor than the 8000.

Also I would upgrade my K70 Red backlight to an RGB.

And then of course a system upgrade, to Intel i5 Skylake, and then grab an SSD and a 980 Ti.

GPU: Nvidia GTX 750 ti
CPU: AMD FX8350 (8 core, 4ghz)
PSU: Corsair 500w bronze
Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M
Case: Corsair CC-9011050-WW
Monitor: BenQ 21.5 inch 1980 x 1080 p
Mouse: uRage but i’m using a Logitech G400 and i love it. Ill rly havr to get one my self.

And i dunno why my pc runs so wierd i can run a game with 100+ fps on max gtaphics and even if the game is optimized it’ll still drop to 40-30 fps fot about 5 secs and then it’ll go back to 100+ fps. Also my video drivers crash often. So mt video drivers are a bit unstable.

Can any 1 with the same parts or somwhat the same parts help me?
@Watsyurdeal @Samniss_Arandeen @Xavien @gg2ez some one?

(qjack) #7
  • a 24" inch monitor (144hz)
  • a custom DIY keyboard
  • steam link (preordered)
  • another logitech f710 (kodi remote / steam link)
  • a new custom DIY case (half done, need some parts and still missing any color)
  • a M.A.M.E System DIY (only need case, buttons and joysticks)
  • and much more useless stuff

(MercifuL) #8

I already have what I want, which consists of;
-24’ Benq RL2455HM with 1ms response time and no input lag, 2 of these.

  • Razer Black Widow Chroma
  • Razer Mamba TE
  • Razer Firefly
  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 980
  • Intel Core i7-6700K
  • Corsair Professional Series 860W
    -ASUS X99 RAMPAGE V
    -CoolerMaster HAF 932

Many of these I get at discounted rates since most of my family and friends are in the Computers or IT whatever you want to call it Industry.

@TheOrangePhantome I’ve never actually used an AMD CPU so I wouldn’t know about that, but I know that 750ti drivers crash every now and then, are they fully updated?

(TheOrangePhantome) #10

@gg2ez Yeah they were fully updated. From what i’ve heard nvidia drivers aint the most stable.

(gg2ez) #11

@TheOrangePhantome are you sure its a drop in framerate or a ping spike?

(TheOrangePhantome) #12

@gg2ez Yeah im sure cuz i can see the fps cuz i have nvidia shadow play turned on so yeah it’s fps. Also the other wierd thing is that the game voluem gets somehow disturbed so i cant explain that.

(watsyurdeal) #13

@gg2ez

AMD processors are affordable but their cores are a good bit slower than Intel’s.

Imagine having 8 average build guys, and 4 Arnold Schwarzenegger like dudes, and having the do something like move cargo.

Who do you think can move more weight with less trips?

That’s the way to look at it imo, it’s too late now to switch boards and cpus but my best recommendation is to turn down certain settings, like anti aliasing, bloom, depth of field, etc.

I know that much. I read EXTENSIVELY into these parts before I built my PC.

(TheOrangePhantome) #16

@Watsyurdeal The thing is it doesn’t make any difference if i turn down the settings my fps keeps dropping anyway.

Well i think that of i do a fresh install of windows 10 my drivers may be more stable. I wanna try windows 10 anyway.

@qjack The thing is it happens in almost every game and it’s my drivers and it ain’t anything else even if i so it it wont make a difference.

@sensit1ve_ How long have you had it for? I just got mine and I’ve heard some issues about the leds dying after a while.
