Needing to change settings every time I play

So every time I play, I have to go into settings are turn my video quality to minimal and turn on high quality materials (This is the only way my potato pc will handle these hawt graphics). It doesn’t have to be fixed, but it would be helpful is anyone knows how to fix this. Thanks

Check that the files in Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\ShooterGame\Config are not set to Read-Only (right-click and check Properties).
