- Don’t hang back too much when attacking.
The ideal scenario is to harass the enemy until the next respawn wave has caught up with you and then attack as a team.
Often I will charge in, kill some enemies, and then watch helplessly as my teammates stay hidden behind a wall.
Keep an eye on the blue triangles. If you see a teammate is on an objective then you probably have a window of just a few seconds to go and back them up before more enemies arrive.
- You can finish off downed enemies using quick melee.
In other words you don’t need to switch to your knife to finish them. Quick melee works just as well.
In fact, if you’re fast enough then you can quick melee them as they are falling, so it doesn’t slow you down at all.
- Most of the time when characters seem OP it’s just because you haven’t worked out how to play against them.
As mentioned above Rhino goes down easily to a well-times Fragger grenade. Bushwacker’s turrets get pwned by ANY two characters hitting it simultaneously. Aura’s heal stations get nuked by Nader’s grenades. Kira’s satellite strike is stationary unless she moves it, which means she has to expose herself to do it, so snipe her. Proxy’s mines are dangerous, but if you look for them in the places they are most likely to be placed (around corners and chokepoints, or in front of objective areas) then you can just shoot them from a safe distance.
And so on.
- Make sure that your team always has at least one: Engineer, Medic, and Field OP (the guys who give ammo).
Two medics is actually almost always better, and if you’re still guiding the EV or managing C4 then two engineers is probably a good idea as well.
