How do I make a voice that sounds like in war for my map. I need it for a bunch of stuff like “Axis compound wall destroyed!” And stuff. I tried a regular text-to-speech, and it was boooring. If anyone knows how I can make that, please post!!

Need war voices for "Objective taken" things,
Either find an already existing VO that will fit alright, or you can chop together two existing ones (I did that with adlernest - “Dynamite the door controls”).
Or you can just get a microphone and have a go. That always sounds kinda retarded though
Are you saying I sound gay
Lawl.
Ok, I’ll download the soundpack.
Thankss <3
Btw, how do you make 2 voice commands 1?

i checked that soundpack, its huge and crappy. there is a very small yet very good pack (wp sounds and lookalike - just watch the engi garand. and hear.)
rwmod.pk3. i got it from somewhere at rtcw.filefront. com. i dont afraid to suggest it for everyone. (btw i like [edited a typo here !!]vlasterx’s british and ss skinpack too. that 3 is what i use)
btw, back to topic, some said use cuts from original sounds. thats a good idea. some else said use mic. and said that that will sound frikkin retard  .true again. true again? hmm… in most cases yes but u can deal with it and imo u can make very good sounds with some luck, some work, and a lots of bravery(to shout really loudly[+])(when recording)
[+]:because if u do that, and then lower the volume of the the result *.wav, u will got quite good base which u can mix. most of the retadr tone in custom sounds is because, imo, the bad (“coward”) recording. (they didnt want to looked madman in the eyes of neighbours ) u cant help it out with any mix.
try to imitate the tone&style of the original et (in fact, rtcw, am i right?) sounds, and then shout the shit out of that mic!
(“up! get up! wake it and shake it! the germans are bringing your coffee!” is it familiar to anyone? act like a true corporal in a charge in the middle of a battle. )(or if u wnat some fun then act like gunnery sgt hartmann… for the ones who know him xD “do you suck dicks?” )
i use the files in pak0. make a copy of it, and open it, and go in sound there you have all the sounds used in et. then find a mp3 editor for free (i know one but its in french ) then work on the sounds you ant to make.
I had to make a lot of combo sounds for Praetoria. It’s mostly cut and paste. There are sounds that refer to various objectvies at North, South, East, and West. As well as verbal references to Caves, Tunnels, Tanks, Trucks, Radar, Doors, Walls, Gates, Bridges.
One of my more creative ones was “Airstrike Spotted!” - used when the axis spot the incoming allied planes. That one was a combination of “Call an Airstrike!” and “Landmine Spotted”.
Once you have made the new .wav file, it is a good idea to store the file in the same directory structure for VO commands as the stock maps but with your own map name. That way you will be sure that your sounds will not conflict with existing ones.
