Need to make all map details

I have maked a big bunker and a submarine into it.

Almost all brush are structural, so I need to make all my map detail and then add some structural brush to block vis.

Is there any command that can help me to make all the map brush detail or to select the entire map
Select all brush that I wont to make detail will be really boaring : :bored:

Plz help me!

Nope, no one coded a “I am lazy, please block vis for me” command. So from here you can manually add it and be bored, and enjoy to payoffs of a good fast map. Or you can ignore adding them, enjoy an early release, then feel the flames of a crappy map. Of course it will be boring to some. But its mapping. Just like grade school, you loved to go on Recess, but didn’t like math class, but math was before recess, so finish math, then go to recess with your map.

well to select the entire map you just draw a just brush around the map and right click in the 2d widnow and go to select-complete tail and it should select everything in the map!

The easier way is to press “i”. It’s invert select, so what ever is selected before “i” is pressed becomes de-selected, and vise versa. :drink:

BTW cremator, you dont understand what I have asked :smiley:
I need only to select the entire map and make it detail, so it will be easy to add some structural brushes

I think that there is no need to change all of the maps brushes to detail brushes. Detail brushes are ment to simplify the vis process. So basic idea is to make detail all the brushes that don’t have to block visibity.

Make detail:
details (little fences, guardtowers, trees decal)
All “furnitures” in rooms
details in structure walls like lamps and other decals

make structural
Walls of structures
big fences

Skybox should be structural too, or you get a leak.

So you make your map totally detail, then convert walls, and all the ‘vis blocking’ brushes last?

I do all the detail/structual stuff as I go along, lol.
