Holy cow, I need to reinstal the latest patch and try to play a bit befire this asshog if you want me to play this game, too much work atm so I think I didnt play in like 2 monthes ^^…

Anyway, count me in as optional only, really not sure I can make it without being a burden for the team.

It’s not too early at all. One of the purposes of these showmatches are to show how gameplay evolves through patches.

what would mean that we would have a video with the best scenes of the match, so i think ppl wont see that much gameplay?

Owning Alpha nubs is always fun XD so i signed up willingly

so its a alpha only showmatch? Nothing to go Public? If thats it, ok… but i would not release such a showmatch to the public audience, would make the game look really really really bad :slight_smile:

I absolutely want our spectator features to be much better than they are now before we release any show match to the public, plus general balance and play needs improving. That doesn’t mean footage from this show match might not be used for things here at SD to some degree, but releasing a complete show match VoD or stream is some way off for sure.

Great news indeed.

But as a consolation I must say (can’t speak for all of mates) that I personally will play not for show-off, but because I want to have fun and because I want to prove (at least to myself) that this game is above certain minimum level of fun to play competitively already now (I suspect actually even more than pub). I am unsure though and hope the match will clarify that. This is not at all for praccing or things like that - biatches don’t train, remember…

Also hope this will spawn some more extra feedback from all involved.

It’s not going public, no. It’s going to be on the Slash Damage YouTube account and potentially released as a video in the video section of the alpha forums.

I think we all have the same idea :wink:

For show purposes, I would like that you utilise as much of the game as you can whilst trying to win the match. If that makes sense?

I am sure we will be running many more in the future. I will catch you on teamspeak some time to talk about it. Planning on having Webcams, free cams, player cams and much more! I am gunna be chatting with Seanza over the weekend about testing things. I am hoping to get more than 10 people on for the draft so I can record a shoutcast and listen back to it later to see what I need to improve!

Yeah, no experience required this time around. It’ll be used in the videos section along with all the other videos that have naration over them which isn’t exactly spoken in a gripping tone of voice :wink:
