i recently downloaded gtk-radiant-1.3.8-et and i dont know much about 3d mapmaking so i started to read the maual i got to a part which said i could preview my map by starting up quake 3 but i dont have quake 3 i only have WOLF ET so how do i preview using wolf ET ???
P.s where do i save my made mps to ???

why did you downloaded the 1.3.8 version, where 1.4.0 is out since “years” ;D
the manual must be an old one, btw. its more quake related, because the radiant was first developed for quake 3.
so you can without problems test your et maps in et ;D
if you configured radiant right, your (compilated) map should be in etmain/maps directory
and to test your map, start et
enter in the console:
/g_gametype 2
/sv_pure
/devmap the_name_of_your map_here
and test your map.

i hope you have installed ET twice.
one for mapping, and one for testing.
really important for models and their textures (cause the not always work all)
i have downloaded rtkradiant 1.5.0 and done it all but how do i type that in the console if it just comes up in a flash then its gone? plz help
don’t use 1.5.0 now for et mapping, its still buggy and it seems to have problems with et (can’t find textures and so)
1.5.0 is still a beta and you should only use it, when you want to map for doom3.

as i mentioned above, one version for mapping
and one version for testing or normal playing
seems to be a strange bug…
didn’t know them till now… perhaps a var-mistake in our config…
delete your profile or create a new one and test it there…
