ok first of all it’s *.tga get an editor like GIMP or something or some other tga editor and make you texture, remember the length and the width can only be powers of 2 so you can only use the following: 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, etc. then you will have to save it either in 24 or 32 bit! If you want to see your texture in radiant first you have to extract that pak0.pk3 in your etmain directory then put your texture in /textures/ folder in your etmain and it should show up in radiant!

You also need to have your texture folder listed in the shaderlist.txt

which u can find in the scripts folder

I dont understand
what I must extract from pak0.pk3?
I dont have /Textures/ folder in etmain

(Thej) #6

just extract the entire pak0.pk3 to the etmain folder
that way u have all the stuff, like sounds and textures and models

(ziege) #7

You can extract it (it’s easier in the long-run), but you don’t need to extract the pk3 if you want to add your own texutres. You just make the etmain/textures folder yourself.

I have create extures\mytexture_desert\ (mytexture_desert is the name of the texture (the texture is JPEG format)
I have my texture name listed in the shaderlist.txt

But it still don’t work

When in the GtkRadiant I open the texture and choose mytexture_desert the program don’t load my texture WHY?? :banghead: :banghead:

It should look like this:

…\etmain extures\arcanis_textures\mytexture_desert.jpg

Then add “arcanis_textures” (without quotes) at the end of your shaderlist.txt found in \scripts

Restart Radient and look for a “arcanis_textures” in the texture menu.
