Need Help, Game Won't Launch

(sharpDay) #1

I’m having an issue getting the game to launch. I don’t have the best laptop but it seems that my specs meet minimum requirements.

I am using an asus laptop with NVidia GT 635M 2GB as my GPU, 8 GB of RAM, and intel i7 2.4ghz quad core.

I am also using windows 10, which some may say is causing the issue. However, I am away from my home for a week and there I have a desktop running windows 10 with AMD R9 290 2GB for GPU, 8GB of RAM, and AMD FX-8320 3.50 GHz Eight-Core for CPU. I have played Dirty Bomb using that desktop setup for a little while now just fine, even have around 41 hours played so far in Dirty Bomb on Steam.

As of today, away from home using my laptop, I have not been able to get Dirty Bomb to launch. I have tried reinstalling, tried running steam as administrator, and tried that verify integrity thing as well.

Any of suggestions to help me get the game to launch? Anything is appreciated. Really would like to be able to play this game and also try the free merc weekend. Would be a bummer if I couldn’t get it to launch until I get back to my desktop setup.

Edit: Forgot to say, I’m not getting any sort of error code or anything, the game just simply doesn’t launch or do anything of the matter.

Still having this issue, tried googling fixes but haven’t had any luck with these solutions.

Just a guess but did you do any of the INI tweaks to improve performance? As of the previous patch, those no longer work and will cause the game to crash. I was getting similar except I made it as far as the loading screen.

I detail how I fixed my crashing problem in THIS post.
