Need a quick fix for the resolution.

It appears that this update has broken resolution settings (again). No matter what 16:9 resolution I select, it takes up the full screen. Previously, 1920x1080 took up the full screen (as it should for my computer/monitor), and then 1600x900 and lower had black bars bordering the outside- the screen shrunk accordingly. Now if I select, say 1280x720, then the screen appears zoomed or stretched to match the full screen.

This is a major problem for me. Windowed mode is also broken as it’s displaying funny… hard to explain. Anyone have any ideas/solutions? Should I just send in a support ticket? I know if I do that it won’t get fixed, and if it does, definitely not before the event is over. :frowning:

If you have a Nvidia GPU you can select stretched or black bars for non-native resolutions in Nvidia Control Panel. I assume the same functionality exists for AMD cards. Stretched must just be what the game or engine defaults to? I think windowed mode looks weird on lower than native resolutions because it is still stretching the image but it crops the window to the selected resolution. At least that’s what it seemed like last time I changed settings for genome screens.

Are the results any different if you set resolution in config?

if youre using Nvidia, use the NVIDIA control panel find adjust desktop size and position
then resize it

i got a pretty big screen and my eye cant cover all of it so i made it smaller while the resolution stay on 1920x1080 but screen size is 1554x874

last time it wasnt DB that change the resolution, it was a windows fukken update.
right now there wasnt any changes to my screen so i doubt it was DB. I highly suspect it windows tinkering with updates.

i disabled my windows update completely and now i dont have to deal with this shi t every 2 weeks

Nothing like that in AMD as far as I can tell ^

Windows update doesn’t seem to ever change anything on my end, only DB updates. Idk, I’ve never played any other games that mess with the resolution this much. Something is just off in DB compared to a lot of other games D:

Tomorrow I’ll take some screenshots, probably of Skyrim or Fallout or even CS:GO as those resolutions display how I’d like it to at 1600x900.

you mean screen size?

because you’d like the resolution in 1920x1080 scaled down to screen size of 1600x900
