Nechayevs scarf and a AK?

(SnipingMeerkat) #1

Sorry for creating another post, but as I was playing Brink not too long ago, And I wondered why the red scarf that the prisoner has isn’t a piece of clothing in customisation. I really want it because it looks nice. Also, why did they not add an AK-47, I thought that would be a top weapon for the resistance. What do you guys and girls think?

Sorry if there is already a post similar but I couldn’t find one

(iezza) #2

TRhey could make an AK similar weapons, all the AR’S height is too big for me, want a low lying one/.

(SnipingMeerkat) #3

Yeah I see where you are coming from, I just stick to the vector, Vector FTW

(its al bout security) #4

AK-would be alright but i dont care much!

i could say much about this i just wanted my opinion to be seen

(wolfnemesis75) #5

Is Nechayef’s scarf a version of The Anger?

(Jess Alon) #6

No both the prisoners that you rescue have clothes you can’t wear.

This only bugs me because not only did you fail to call the KROSS by it’s actual name (SUPER-V Kriss) or even by BRINKs name, KROSS. Get this straight, the name Vector doesn’t not coexist with the SUPER-V Kriss as seen here:

If Call of Duty started calling the AK-47 a CV-47 (like in Counter-Strike) I suppose you’d start calling it that too right? Sorry, I’m just a gun enthusiast and it’s so juvenile seeing people getting things wrong like that.

I’ll come back to Nechayev’s scarf later, because for now, I don’t recall what it looked like, but I’m pretty sure it’s just some face/mask archetype with a different non-default color.

Why they wouldn’t include an AK let alone the AK-47? Probably because this takes place in 2035, and the AK-47 has been around since 1947. That’s my guess, just severely old and if they were going to buy weapons for the ARK, and it were built in the United States, it would probably have the latest and greatest weapons distributed to the Security force.

I am fairly surprised the AK-47 didn’t make the game and since there is definitely a distinct communist feel to the resistance, whose to say these weapons didn’t make it to the Ark via the guest ships?

Maybe they will add it as part of a DLC.

(wolfnemesis75) #9

Rather than an Ak-47 I’d like to see a double barrel shotgun that shoots buck shot. A real "Don’t get up in my grill!’’ weapon. You know: “Stay out of my face, ****!” Pow! (For a heavy dude)

Maybe because its in a near future and its not at all a realistic shooter?

2 cents done…

You’re actually completely wrong. The real gun is named “Vector” and made by TDI. Kriss Super-V is the name of the recoil dampening system in the weapon. Currently, the Vector is the only production gun that uses the Kriss Super-V system, so the names are fairly interchangeable, but TDI is working on adapting the idea to other weapons systems, such as an MG, SR, and AR.

I stand corrected.

(badman) #13

This. They both have unique outfits to make them stand out both in terms of gameplay as well as within the context of the story.

(SnipingMeerkat) #14

Oh ok but still would have been nice. Anyway just wondering but any plans to add new weapons?

(CVIChEK) #15

AK-47 styled weapons will stay, we have rifles, light machine guns, snipers and even shotguns developed with a similiar concept and Russia’s non-elite forces still use a heavily upgraded version of it (elite forces use the AN-94), so I can say that even in the year 2035, there would be a gun similiar to the great AK.

(wolfnemesis75) #16

Sometimes do you get the feeling Nechayev would walk a little bit faster if that scarf wasn’t so heavy?

(its al bout security) #17

his scarf is pretty reminiscant of the Khmer rouge

(tokamak) #18

Within the context of the story I buy, but it has no added value gameplay wise.

(badman) #19

So you’d prefer them to potentially look similar to one of the players?

(wolfnemesis75) #20

Nah. I like how they are distinctive. Players just want the look they can’t currently have. If you threw a skin in the game with a sack over his head and we couldn’t all get to play him…wait a second, you did that already, lol!
