Rhino has a cockney accent so it would indicate him being from England and the London area, however Vinnie Jones is part Welsh and even played for Wales in the football but has an iconic cockney accent. Skyhammer is Scottish just so people don’t assume hes English because hes from the UK (When ever I say im Welsh people assume im English…). Fragger is from Vermont, (see one of his audio queues) Which is on the border of Canada so he could well be Canadian his accent would suggest that he is too. I think Sparks is widely assumed to be Russian although who ever done the voice acting makes it sound like that fake accent we all put on lol. Vassili is a tricky one, again he has a cockney accent but his name could imply that hes Russian although there are a few eastern European countries that the name is popular in, interesting little bit of DB knowledge, Vasili in English would translate to Basil. For unreleased mercs, Aimee is French and Thunder is Russian, not sure about Turtle I might recall someone saying he was Dutch or I could have made that up along the way, not 100 on it.

Turtle is Turkish, some of his voice lines are in Turkish f.ex. “evet” (“yes” in Turkish)

With that logic with Arty, you could assume he’s a mainland Chinese person from just abouts anywhere. Judging from the tiny bit of Chinese he speaks, I’m going to rule out Taiwan (its still a possibility) because people from Taiwan’s mandarin accents differ from that of mainland Chinese people. Dunno what Singporean-Chinese people sound like so I think its safest to assume he’s from mainland China but who knows.

I’m pretty sure Kira’s just Japanese for all I know, she has an asian accent, speaks a lil Japanese, has a japanese name and says the stereotypical japanese things in her taunts and she kind of looks Japanese (now she does at least).

Vassili is most definately not Italian, it was the unofficial fan wiki that says he’s Italian, and unless that some super secret spooky leaked info, its probably not true and just some fanfiction.

Rhino’s accent doesn’t seem very thick than, but then again I’m probably not that good at detecting accents. As for Skyhammer there is a reason I say British and not English. Rather be safe and cover a huge-ish area (though I guess saying United Kingdom would have been more accurate). Wasn’t aware Fragger has a quote identifying himself Canadian. Sparks is totally faking her accent. Vassili I’m pretty sure is Italian but went to school in England but I’m not sure how credible the source is. I didn’t put Aimee, Thunder, or Turtle because they’re not in the game yet and they could change their nationality (doubtful) but Turtle is supposedly Turkish.

When it comes to Chinese accent I’m more lost than when it comes to European accents. So I’ll trust your judgement. Not that, that particularly narrows it down though.

As for Kira, yeah, she’s probably Japanese. My comment was more of a response to someone saying French earlier to be supposedly racist (not sure how that’s being racist). I’m actually convinced she’s from the Tokyo Prefecture (specifically Akihabara…cause she’s obviously otaku trash).

I assure you, there’s nothing Mexican about Phoenix. He’s a very stereotypical Spaniard. Mexican Spanish has what I would describe as a lazy accent. You just let the Spanish flow out of you like you’re about to fall asleep. It actually sounds closer to Portuguese without all of the “SHHH” thrown in.

I don’t say Sparks is faking her accent because it sounds fake but because Sparks’ background suggests everything about her IS fake. She’s some sort of spy or the very least a con artist. As for her looks, Phoenix has tried to do plastic surgery with nanobots before, just because he’s barred from practicing medicine doesn’t stop him from doing it again. Even Sparks’ looks could be fake.

Sparks dosen’t say anything in russian while Thunder does. She could fake it or simply be from another slav country, since the accent in english sounds similar.
And Nader. Well yeah she’s supposed to be german but her dialogue is really really bad. I mean I’ll give credit where credit is due and say that the voice actor tried hard to destroy every TH sound but the actual german lines don’t work.

I’m actually kinda curious how convinced you are of the nationalities if you speak that language natively. Does Phoenix actually sound spanish to you for example. Cause Nader sure as hell dosen’t sound german to me.
