Nader or Sparks?

Well you read the title. I’ve been wrecked by sparks so many times, Revivr does a ton of damage and I wanted to practice with it. On the other hand, Nader seems fun too. I come from tf2 where I mained demo, nader looks very rewarding when you get your shots on target. I also wanted a powerful smg merc. Both of them have some skill ceiling in learning how to aim with their special weapons.

Can you guys please give your opinions and what you know about the following mercs to help me decide? Thanks.

Sparks is a lot harder to use than you’d think. The REVIVR has no scope, has to be charged up, and you only have a limited amount of time to take the shot, as well as her having only 80 health and machine pistol primaries when shit hits the fan. It’s real virtue is in endlessly reviving your teammates before they even hit the ground, but sniping with it is a plus.

Nader on the other hand, is an exceptional area denial merc with her launcher, and a direct hit will kill any merc that has 90 health or less. Her SMGs are nice, and Martyydom will get you a kill or two every once in a while.

In the end though, the choice is yours, and I would advise you to weigh your opinions and preferences with the advice of others. I hope this helps! :cookie:

If you want an smg merc, go with nader. If you want to kill things now, go with nader. If you like the idea of long range revives and don’t mind being useless in combat until you get a lot of practice, go with sparks. Sparks is my favorite merc, but getting to the point where you reliably go even takes a lot of work – while I have some good games, I certainly can’t go even in every game, and I never actually lead in kills. The sparks players who hard carry their team by going 33/3 have probably put 100+ hours into mastering her.

Thanks for the feedback guys, one question I have is, is sparks combat effective at all? Like is using the revivr as a weapon when you’re not doing medic work viable at all? Also what do you mean by even? Do you mean it will take a lot of practice until I can really get kills AND revives?

Also, since stoker is coming so soon (also since I saw some gameplay of him) I might buy him instead. But don’t let that stop you from giving more feedback!

Coming from a Vassili/RedEye main who has had his arse handed to him plenty of times by Sparks: She’s viable for long range harassment if you can spam those charges with the right timing. She does have some combat potential, both as an anti-sniper and a harasser, seeing as a fully charged shot takes 65 damage. Just don’t expect to outdo a Fragger or any combat-oriented merc with Sparks

Just get Nader as a safe bet. I can near-guarantee you’ll be disappointed in Sparks when you try her yourself (unless you always rank top 3 in every game, meaning your aim isn’t that bad).

Okay, thanks for the help guys.
