Nader in need of a buff?

(GeekyNerd_FTW) #1

Many people might disagree, but I certainally don’t. Her nades don’t seem to do much and her health is too low for an Assult merc. Especially when the other Assults have high power assult rifles and machine guns.

(hoyes) #2

but her speed is faster than skyhammer and arty who have the same amount of health, has a smaller hitbox and martydom (someone sue me for mentioning this). And the point of the GL is that you are supposed to flush people out of little camping nooks rather than kill them straight up. We have fragger for that.

Nades do 90 damage on a direct hit.
You can easily spam nades to force the enemy change position or push you
5 nades, 5 seconds recharge time, faster than Fletcher’s stickies
Martydrom is an overpowered ability.
If anything, Nader needs a nerf. You should get punished by using Martydrom and nades need a longer recharge time

(hoyes) #4

‘Nades do 90 damage on a direct hit.’
they actually do 100
further adding to the facts about why you want her nerfed

(GeekyNerd_FTW) #5

@jokder Arty and Skyhammer are support mercs that can also give out ammo and there purpose is not to give ammo, therefore not making your point valid.

(GeekyNerd_FTW) #6

@FrostyVampire Hard to get a direct hit
Rarely does that situation happen
5 nades, ok, not that much with there lack luster splash radius
Everyone knows to just get away from nader to finish, the only time I died by Martydom is the first few matches of playing the game

(frostyvampire) #7

You are not using Martydrom right.
You are supposed to push people the health station when you are low on health and do some damage with your SMG and then when you get downed press E instantly.
Also you can spam nades on a camping area and to make people run away from the bomb and delay their defusal.

Most mercs are good on one side but pretty bad on the other side (most = every merc that isn’t Fletcher)
For example: Aura is OP on defense, easily the best medic and you can earn 15k xp in one half easily, but she’s kinda bad on attack and you prefer having a Sparks or Phoenix instead because you won’t be camping much on attack
Nader is one of those mercs, she is an attacking merc which is supposed to make the enemy team leave their camping spot, locate where the enemy camp is and then spray nades there, if it’s not helping, make a kamikaze Martydrom push

I’m pretty sure they do 90, i think Phoenix survives one nade hit.

Naders nades do 75 damage @0m + 15 damage direct hit bonus.

@FrostyVampire
Actually I find that Sparks WRECKS on Attack.

Because Sparks is an attacking merc. I said it “on attack you prefer Sparks or Phoenix”. But Sparks is actually one of those mercs that is good on both sides, it’s just Aura and Sawbonez being better than her on defense but she herself isn’t bad on defense either

(LifeupOmega) #12

???

Do you aim???

(watsyurdeal) #13

Um…no

She has 120 health, her nades allow her to bomb secondary objectives and bomb people at common spots with careful timing and aim.

She’s fine where she is.

(Dawnlazy) #14

She needed to not have been randomly nerfed for no reason a couple of patches ago but eh, she’s still okayish.

(Szakalot) #15

excellent nader players are terrifying, they can hit really tricky shots towards the common camping spots, singlehandedly preventing an opposing team to setup a flank or a push. A single nader can keep multiple aura’s useless, blow up mines, push people off C4, destroy secondaries, or even help spamming the EV; there is a huge amount of utility to Nader, no surprise she is a very common pick in high level play.

(_retired_) #16

Definately not.

I used to play Nader a lot and sometimes still do when I need.
The reason’s why she might feel weaker is the drop of splash damage (good change) and the fact that bursts own her pretty much (smg vs burst is no-go currently if opponents know what they are doing) and players have learned better to dodge the spam.

She is maybe the most versatile damage dealer and tool for handling tough spots from any other mercs. She needs different approach to play with compared to other tankier assault mercs. She is currently one of the mercs that is spot on where she needs to be, even though balancing maximum amout of nades/cooldown/nade damage might come into consideration in some point.

(Dysfnal) #17

I love baiting Nader’s to use their martyrdom, you just pullout melee and act like you’ll gib them, then stop before you’re in range… Last time I tried I accidentally slipped, and long jumped, earning me a “dumba**” in chat
