Coming from a fast food generation, does anyone else think that grenades could do with a second shaved off their cook time… or is it just me?
Nade cheffing.
I’d prefer if they traveled further and were as powerful as the ones in ETQW.
I’d like to see similar throw distances / splash damage as in ETQW as well… right now they feel a little light and a little harmless unless you get a direct hit… which i guess is good to an extent, but they do feel slightly “off”. I don’t really find myself jumping and throwing nades either to try gain momentum to throw further to reach specific places… they seem to just fly out your hand here whatever state you are in.
Would also like a grenade timer around the crosshair similar to QW did it… even though i can learn the general gist of timing nades here i do forget every now and then counting in my head the approx time and just self kill by accident. I really dislike the bleep as well before it is about to explode. Would rather the option for a visual indicator and audio indicator to turn on / off by preference.
In terms of time cooking a grenade i find it is fine in DB… actually feels identical to ETQW which is nice… it’s more the flight mechanics, bouncing, HUD, Audio that needs development imo.
Both nades and airstrikes/artilary could do with a buff to splash damage.
And at some point a visual cooking indicator and ticking sound.
Haven’t had the opportunity to use grenades in a server with players to get a real feel for them. I’ll let you guys know in open beta.
They could use a little splash damage but I like the current way they are thrown I think it’s perfect. Airstrikes needs a little bit bigger explosion, and yes the grenades need a cook sound, rtcw did it best

Like so many have said before, I don’t mind they way they work or their flight path (although a “cooking” indicator/sound is needed) but the splash radius definately needs a buff. If you get the nades close enough it’s obvious the damage is there but you really have to land the grenades and/or artillery/airstrike in somones pocket for it to be a kill.
In a way it’s more interesting since it sort of gives it a bit more of a skill curve using them but come on… A grenade should take you out if it lands a few feet away from you, not just scratch your newly shined shoes.
