Notes : This map was originaly called “Flak Cannon” - I opted to call it Nachteinbruch (NightFall in German) for the final release.

Game : Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory
Title : Nachteinbruch
Filename : Nachteinbruch.pk3
Release date : 10/1/2003
Decription : Northern Germany, 1943.
The Axis have created a prototype Ammo that will be devastating to the Allied forces
if used by their Pak Cannon.
The Allies need to destroy the Ammo and the Pak Cannon to prevent the Axis from using it.

Installation : Place the Nachteinbruch.pk3 to your etmain folder, select it from the multiplayer->create server menu or
bring down the console and type: map Nachteinbruch.

GameTypes : Objective
: LMS isn’t supported.


SpawnPoint Notes

Allies:

The forward shack will be a permanent Allied spawn once the main door is blown.

The Command Post is linked to 2 spawns - One near the command post (where the truck is) and one at the south end of the map (near the axis entrence to the ammo supply)

Axis:

Once the main door is blown by the Allies you will have 2 spawns.

One near the Pak Cannon (outside infront of one of the entrences to the ammo supply) and one in the middle of the map (south section)

I strongly urge you to check the command post and look where the spwn points are located.


To Win - Allies

The Allies need to have 2 objectives destroyed - the ammo supply AND the pak Cannon.

The Pak Cannon is rebuildable, the Ammo Supply isn’t.

Axis need to make sure the Pak Cannon is rebuilt when the Ammo Supply is blown.


Additional Map Information/Credits

Textures : I have changed some of the original textures + shaders.
Models : I have a new rock model using a SD texture.

Vocals : The Allies voice is Vance from Sonic Valleys. The Axis voice is Lofasz A Seggedbe.

Great map, i had played the beta versions (flak cannon) and i like it.
80-90 fps all over the map, nice sounds. When will be the sonic sound pack available to download.

yeah, my first and probably last.
We’re starting a new game soon at work so I won’t have time to do much in terms of free time designing; unfortunately.
Unless by some weird chance the map is liked by alot of people and run on many servers then I might consider trying to make time to do another one. I do have many new ideas for more ET maps.
This map was just a test to see if I could make a map in this style.

Ypur map is running on my clan server: et.mazingerz.org, we plenty of custom maps (12, 4 custom campaings +2 official are 6 campaigns) so maybe you have to wait a lot to play, but its there!!

Just noticed something a little odd… Panzerfaust recharge times seem a little off - I was playing as Axis and recieved instant recharge for the panzer. Didn’t test as Allies as the phone rang and I had to drop off the server :angry:

Is this a “feature”, oversight or something rather screwy going on with the server? Any thoughts people?

File Not Found from the IPD clan has fixed the bug - I updated my first post with the needed 4k file.

Server Admins please get this file.

Wow, just ran around through the map alone yet but I like a LOT what I’m seeing. I thought that Flak Cannon was the map with the highest potential yet to be a close-to-official quality map that is fun, too, and I guess I was right. :stuck_out_tongue:
Of course only some serious tests will tell if the balance and gameplay works out as expected (especially on 6on6), but I’ll certainly try to push this map a bit so it gets some testing. Our server has no well working map rotation yet when in public mode, but I’ll do my best to get our admin to fix it and then include Nachteinbruch as (the only) custom map so far. I’ll tell you when it’s on it.

Don’t let it be your last map please… :slight_smile: I’d especially love to see another map losely in the style of Goldrush (the architecture), that would be so awesome. :slight_smile:

theres one thing with its ol Name “FLAK cannon”.
FL=Flug
A=Abwehr
K=Kanone

Kanone=Cannon… um yea… so its “Flight Defence Cannon Cannon”
well uuuuum… ok forget it, its a great map;) love to talk to you @MSN on Saturday evening! (help)
