I posted this in April fool’s thread but got suggestion to post it as separate post.
So instead of releasing new merc/map/cards they could play april’s fools and FIX all these things:
-Shotguns so they aren’t one hit wonders which favours just those who jump around corners and shoot blindly
-Jumpshooting with snipers so it’s still challenging but yet something that is controllable through learning and not totally randomized venture as it is now
-Sparks so her reviver isn’t that spammable and on range wouldn’t make gibbing so damn impossible compared to medic who charges pads and runs towards the same target
-Deployable cooldowns (like Aura stations) so they cannot be immediately replaced as they are destroyed
-Fletcher’s stickies so they do less damage on spread but maintain it when you get direct hit (just like with Nader nades) so they cannot be just spammed)
-PDP so it doesn’t remain as mininade spammer
-Red eye balance with smoke and IR so he can be countered and Vassili stays viable option
-Phantom gets some new toy to help the team other ways than just killing mostly unwilling noobs
-Stoker’s fire kills only those in the fire and not outside of the fire (while doesn’t just disappear if hitting walls)
-Arty’s tool to call artillery made so it actively can target EVs even from side and it might be easier to use but might take longer to take effect
-Proxy mines that can be destroyed by shooting if placed which are in tight places (there are few places that are almost impossible to destroy without explosives which makes mercs without them kind of helpless)
-Burst rifles might need bit of nerf (ttk is pretty low compared to others)
-Bridge first objective so attacking team has better chance completing it
-Trainyard last objective so attacking team has better chance completing it
-Dome changes so it would suck less (still disorienting clusterf)
-Dockyard same thing ^
-Objectives that have more time to react by the defensing teams so less emphasis is on ninja/proxy/rush tactics against full unbreakable hold (bridge, chapel, undergound)
-Servers which have maximum pings so 150-200+ ping players don’t join to warp and teleport around
-ELO rating revisited or balance fixed on pubs so it doesn’t suck so much as it does now
-Matchmaking same thing
-Ranked events so people are more interested of playing it
-Banning notifications for the crowd so people would see some kind of results (lately there have been clearly additions to cheating squad, not to name any nationalities but…)
PS. I’m new here but not exactly new to Dirty Bomb. This is my “third try” to this game during it’s open beta phase and even it has taken some steps to be better there’s lot to be desired.
What are your list of fixes you would like to see in Dirty Bomb?
I may suggest we don’t go to detailed discussion or argument about each issue but remain free to say what we like to see fixed.
