My tracemap is *** (is not anymore :P)

I need help real quick, only need to do cmd map to be ready. I generate tracemap to get the cmd map to fit, to make the cmd map from the base of the tracemap. But when I do generate the tracemap, I load it up in photoshop, it contains only half of the map. Screens:

SuX huh? Coordinates are right, and have been set many times trying if it affects on this.

I believe you only need the red channel seeing how that’s the one containing the height map.

Yeah I know. But the red channel is just as cutted as this one is… :frowning: That’s my problem. Why the heck remove these if the red isn’t proper.

Well, everything is on it when you guess where everything is, isn’t it? It’s just that the lowest level is painted as black in a heightmap.

If this is a problem, just make an extra room in a corner of the map of which the floor is a lot lower than the lowest floors in your map. Then generate the tracemap again and you’ll see that the (original) lowest floors became slightly grey-ish.

WOOOHOOO!!! Thank you very much, what a great tip! Is there anything you don’t know? I need to make kami-fan-club soon. :lol: The rest was totally black and couldn’t been highlighted, making there a large brush underneath the whole map made it work! Thank you again!
