My review

Ok so i’m 30 now been online gaming since i could afford my first PC at 16, i only care for fps games, i love the competitive nature of it.

Best years of my gaming were in counter strike 1.6 and what ever the hell it was called before that, and also quake 3/Q3 rocket arena. ( Nostalgia going through the roof).

If i could name a memorable fps other than them i would say BF2.

I know nothing about the Devs, but i would hazard a guess they are around my age because they have developed a game i immediately click with, and this is my worry.

I notice a lot of beta testers around my age, is this twitch/skill based shooter only suited for our generation? I notice the young ones so interested in easy kill games such as CoD, and quite frankly i don’t understand it, perhaps i’m stuck in my old ways.

Easy for me to say this, but…make me pay for the game, £50 i don’t care, perhaps the gaming market can make more money from in-game purchases, no idea.

Moral of the story, keep up the good work devs, long time since i have been excited about a fps. A very long time.

Uh, well that was insightful, but…well…exactly how is this a review? You spend more time talking about yourself than…actually you don’t say anything about the game. You mention other games like BF2, CoD, and older titles, but not once did you even say if you like this game.

You’re right mate i didn’t, sorry, i was giving too much of an introspective thought.

For me it’s thoroughly enjoyable, and has re-ignited my passion for FPS, which has slowly died over the years.

My review is basically that i find it addictive, it makes me want to play it over and over again, i can’t get enough of it, some people won’t like it and i already know some people don’t, but for the true FPS players i can honestly say the vast majority will love it like myself, i can’t put my finger on it, i can’t even put my finger on why i loved the past FPS titles, it’s just a feeling, a feeling that something is right.

I don’t ever write reviews, so i’m sorry if it is lackluster, but it’s what i honestly think.

Yeah, the developers are Splash Damage who also developed games like, Enemy Territory, Quake wars and Brink. They love the old school way games are with fast paced action and gun fights that last longer than 2 bullets.

I am not far off of being 30 now but I have great hopes for this game. I feel the beta testing could of gone a lot smoother if the builds were a bit more stable, but I guess that is what a beta is for. When those flood gates open I just hope older more experienced players do not scare new comers away quickly. So basically, I hope match making works quickly!
