My really old 9800m GTX cards run the game very well.

I’ve mentioned it in other threads, but my specs are:

Dual 9800mobile GTX SLi
3ghz QuadCore 9650
3gb DDR2 ram.

Actually, since the last couple of updates, I’ve been getting 60 stable, save for some completely unrelated error that crashes my FPS in waves. (It’s been happening for weeks before Brink launched

Can anyone explain this? What’s the min specs that anyone’s gotten the game to run stable at?

In what way are you getting 60, though? All the special FX off? High/ Low Textures. Specifics.

Thread is about min specs, so it’s about…running settings with min specs, not highest.

Edit: I get stable 35ish on max without AA. Who the hell uses AA?

So …Am I the only one? : /

I cant really answer but I have heard from some people elsewhere that older video cards (that meet the minimum requirements) seem to have less problems.
For example people with ati crossfire cant make use of it for whatever reason and you have to disable crossfire to get increased fps.

I might just bump this later as im getting my old 9800GX2 and slapping it in this rig, that thing loved the id tech engine, would give me well over 500 fps in CoD4. gonna hve to experiment with the drivers though, the nwer ones in the v200.00 or higher cater for the GTX 260 and above cards, which has been gradually working more and more bugs into the 8xxx and 9xxx series of cards, gonna start out with the 181.xx drivers and work my way up.

I’ll post back tommorow and give you some results. should be intresting to see the difference between my old 9800GX2 and your 9800mobile GTX SLi

Not sure where you mentioned anywhere that this was about min specs.

I don’t usually bump threads, but this is a public safety emergency.

I am running BRINK on a Dell Studio laptop with a Radeon 4570 mobility card. Running a config with everything set to low. I think I get around 35 or so. It works for me :stuck_out_tongue:

running on a 560ti i get between 30-60 fps with default graphics. I really was expecting better performance.
