So thats why my Discussion on Payday 2 and Killing Floor’s 2 microtransaction was removed.
Was that ever brought up at all? That is a bit of a bummer, put a lot into that.

@Redcap it was completely deleted?
@Faraleth Considering it isn’t at all on his account’s discussions page I say yes.
I’ve not deleted anything. I don’t think any of us mods ever delete anything. And last I knew it was fine to talk about other games.
P.S. we’re trying to get to the bottom of this and figure out what’s up.

Serious question tho… why is ‘Your Game of The Year predictions?’ thread still open if discussion about microtransactions in other games isn’t allowed?

Yes, I am the culprit. Discussions centered around non-Nexon games are against policy, as are links and content from such games. The discussion itself was perfectly fine otherwise and actually well thought-out, and it was a shame to remove it. Unfortunately simply editing out content wouldn’t have worked in that situation.
You can mention other games in certain situations, it’s not like the words are censored, but appropriate instances would be, say, comparing something from DB to another game, or saying you wish DB would change a certain feature to be like [insert game name] because… If the discussion is centered around DB it is generally okay to do this sort of thing. In off topic, discussions need not be game-related, but topics about non-Nexon games are better off on their respective forums, rather than here.
It could have been just locked just like pretty much every other thread where other games are mentioned.
Also, sneaking DB’s monetization in the discussion wouldn’t have been a big task.
Anyways… it always boggles my mind when devs/ publishers decided that discussion about other than their games isn’t allowed… are people really that insecure? … … oh well, can’t say I’m surprised when it comes to Nexon and their anti-community nonsense tho…
Just add “And how does this relate to Dirty Bomb?” at the end of any thread not related to Dirty Bomb. Boom, problem solved.
