i like this kind of calm dubstep does it have a some kind of name ?
the song sound a bit repitif try make somethings that would change a little the rythme in the middle then ruturn to the basic so it wouldnt sound repitif

@TheVulpesFox Very interesting! The genre isn’t my normal fare but it sounds really good, are you going to be making more? I’m also making stuff that could vaguely be described as music so it would be cool to see what sort of thing you do next

I would call this more so trance or house (leaning towards more so house, though). I don’t think “chill dubstep” is a thing, as such categories already exist as mentioned above.

Either way, nice job! Definitely keep it up. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next. :smile:

@blonk I’m currently working on some stuff, although I’m still learning how to use the software so it’s taking some time.
@RazielWarmonic yeah tbh I don’t really know what defines some of the genres xD

The closest thing I’ve heard to it is probably Progressive/tropical house, but his is still somewhat slower and different. Anyway, house is much more appropriate for it. :smile:

This guy makes music too, and I believe all of it he doesn’t care of it being used, which I have screenshots on my Drive to show that I have full permission to any of his music in Youtube Channels if he ever tries anything. :wink: :naughty: Proof below in spoiler, in case you guys wonder :3

@TheVulpesFox What do you use to create your music? Logic Pro X? Garageband?

@DarkMatterMatt I use FL studio, it’s a bit of an investment but if you really see yourself doing lots of work with music it is one of the best programs out there.

@RazielWarmonic ‘Chill dubstep’ is a thing, it’s called chillstep. It’s really creative I know. Though anything can get it’s own ‘step’ genre now.

From now on I will comment on this post every time I upload another song and include the links in the original post. I was going to make a cool visualizer in blender but it didn’t work so no youtube vid atm.

The first 24 seconds feel like there may be too much going on at once. I may just need to listen to it more to get used to it. I have not gone too far into this type of music so I really don’t know. Loved the sound though. Very nice. :slight_smile:
