my idea about seeing lvls in game

  1. if someone killed you you can see his loadout card and trinket
  2. make trinkets with levels (lets say every 5/10 lvls) as level rewards
  3. hide player level on score boards

it would be nice to see some thing like that

This would be better than it presently is now, people can choose to either have trinkets or not have them which could still hide their level. Also some people might actually like lower level trinkets better than higher level ones so less issues this way. Loadout rarity is also not a give away of a person’s level since I’ve seen lower levels with cobalts and high levels with leads, irons, or bronzes.

You can see player loadouts already. But this is bugged as hell.
Honestly, I don’t see any reason to see trinkets.
Yes. They can add more trinkets as levelled rewards and through other ways.

Why? i don’t see the point of this at all. Who cares if you start getting flamed or harassed just because you are high level. Because i’m guessing thats what you want to avoid?

(BananaSlug) #5

@Hibbsan because people are toxic, changeing team, quitting because they see higher lvl and that is destroying balance

(Hibbsan) #6

if you actually know how to play the game why would level even matter? i am not that high level and i sure don’t leave games, change teams or anything like that even if the other team have multiple high level people. And i have honestly not noticed a lot of other people doing that either… but i guess i’m blind. i don’t think this is a problem at all.

you know i dont like having low levels because all 10+ guys went to other team because there was 95th lvl and there also was a guy who was spamming on chat to kick him
(this happened to me today)

I want to be able to remove my level permanently, as it is embarrassing when a level 9 has better aim than you. Also I hate being called out for sucking because I’m a level 24.

When a level 15 does better then me (lvl 45) and brags in chat…like I never said I was good lol I just play a lot (pls help me) and people think I’m going to destroy them when there are better players than me at lower levels. I got lots of hate for saying levels don’t matter but in this game it really doesn’t. It’s not like Halo3 where level is tied to skill. If you saw a 40+ in that game you knew it was on but here its just playing and your comp rank doesn’t even show, which I think would be a better way to asses if someone is good…but the MM in comp is meh so even then I don’t think it would be too accurate

Level is a very small indicator when it comes to skill. I have seen level 20’s that suck ass, and level 7’s with incredible aim.

But it is the only indicator we have right now, there aren’t unusuals and such that can represent skill more accurately. Now if I play a match and come across anyone above level 30, I tend to leave if they’re too good. I know it seems cowardly, but it can ruin the fun when someone is so good they just wipe the floor with literally everyone.

I’ve seen level 60+ do worse then a single digit level player but I have never seen a team of all single digits in pubs beat a team made up of level 20+. More often then not they won’t get a single objective and are spawn camped. Levels are not skill based, but they are knowledge based.

I came across this yesterday, I just spawned in and noticed that it was the start of the first round of Stopwatch and the scores greatly differed. Guess how vote shuffle went?
