My Honour System Survival Mode

While I’m waiting for my rarely active opponents, I play a survival game vs the AI that would be a nice addition to single player.

I simply play the campaign on hard, from beginning to end, such that each time one of my mercenaries dies I can no longer use them. If my general dies or I lose all my mercs, then it’s game over. I’ve gotten pretty good vs the AI so for a greater challenge sometimes I’ll let them move first, or experiment with loadouts.

Wouldn’t it be nice if the health of my mercs also carried over? Then I’d have to heal them on the field before advancing.

Thanks to the devs for making a game so in-depth I can simulate my own game modes.

Ohhh, I really like the idea of Multi map challenges. They could even have mini graphic stories using the characters. Like infiltrate a building and take out a central computer or something.

Ie. you start at train station, work your way to other side fighting opponents. Once reached you move onto bridge, fight your way across one end to the other again, then you get to a new map, gov’t building. You fight your way through a cubicle/office setting to other side, then take on a boss unit and conclude the story. All the while having a 1 to 2 slideshow comic in between with quirky humor! And doing it all with 1 set of characters whose health carry over to the next map etc.

That would be utterly fantastic  I love a good story to go with my game. I love this idea

Sounds like fun!

IMO the game badly needs a random challenge generator: Choose size and outfit team, then get a random mix of legal (as in, the same stuff the player would be able to use, as opposed to the rules-bending Challenge loadouts) commando/equipment load-outs for that game size on a random map. Treat this as an entirely new “expansion” that costs real money. I would happily pay real money for this, and I’m sure many more would as well.

On that note, a CUSTOM challenge generator: choose the enemy loadout and broad a.i. behavior (read: Long Range, Medium, or Close, or Aggressive/Defensive may be enough) on a random or self-selected map. Also would pay money for this.
