So, been finally thinking about it after 5-6 months on and off, almost 600hours, countless drops and crafted cards and much much credits spent. Here is my loadout list as it stands:

Is it worth giving up all those gold cards for that one elusive cobalt? I have Fletcher in mind. I’m 50-50 on the decision so could use a push if anybody wants to try. Thank you.
PS: Cards I want to use are Aura, Fletcher, Fragger, Phantom, Redeye and Vassili.
Depends, do you really really want it? None of those cards are super amazing bar maybe the Redeye, and even then most of his Grandeur loadouts are balanced with each other. Fletcher has 3 “usable” cards at best. BL32, BL33 (maybe), and A31. I kinda got lucky with that, I hope you do too.
You have Alienware BL32 Fletcher. What else do you need? It is amazing. No need to risk your golds to get cobalt Fletcher. If you really want to have cobalt choose other merc because you already have amazing card for Fletcher!
Aside from the SM72 Sawbonez i wouldn’t use any of those other golds, I say go for it, the only purpose of bad golds is to become cobalts.
I would only get a cobalt if I have gold cards I simply don’t use or aren’t viable.
Otherwise you should keep them.
Your Sawbonez, Fragger and Stoker are decent, the rest can be used for trade-up trash.
If you trade-up to Cobalt, always go for a class that has multiple loadouts that are useful to you, because the chance on Sparks for example is only 1/9 of a good card.
Thanks for the replies. The reason I said Fletcher was because it’s my most played merc and I have both Blishlok and Hollunds but not Ahnuhld with the bling. Also Alienware skins just the weapons not the player models. And I prefer Skyhammer more than Fragger there as extra ammo and faster airstrike cooldown is nice.
Also, start my new year with a first Cobalt. 
Yeah I kinda agree…not many of those golds are really amazing…but I don’t know…Cobalt is a lot of RNG…so far I haven’t had any luck with a gold I’ve created…not much luck with Silver except my prized Silver Bushwacker.
In the end it’s all up to you…if you think you can win it big…

You don’t see your player skins anyway.
“Maybe” for BL33 ? BL33 IS a good card. There’s no question to ask yourself about this : you see quickdraw, you see Empire-9, you see a SMG as a primary, you keep it. You switch so much with Fletcher, Quick Draw is just the most powerful augment you can get.
dont make my mistakes you have amazing golds just wait and you will get 6 bad/repeats golds and then you can trade up
if you had to do your first cobalt, dont do fletcher… get a safe merc like phx, stoker or thunder… what i mean by safe is all the load outs are generally pretty decent

BL33 is more reliable than the BL32 imo

Quick Draw and Flying Pig are nice and all but I love Fail Safe and Springy on top of Lock On.
Rather go for Fragger with your cobalt trade up, he only has a couple loadouts that truly suck and you go have 6 golds that aren’t perfect. then again if you do get a shitty cobalt, you lost those 6 golds.
