Hi.
What specs do you have?
Dirty Bomb is built on the Unreal Engine 3 hence it’s quite CPU intensive.
Notebooks can struggle because they generally speaking deliver less performance than a desktop pc for the same money.
Lower your video settings as low as possible and make sure the following are set to off in the main menu:
Windowed
V-Sync
Thread Sync (in the advanced settings at the very bottom)
The two steps I have described in the spoiler below will make the game look potato but can potentially increase your fps count.
1. Open the console by pressing ~ and type in texturepoolsize 1
This limits the available graphical ram to 1 MB.
- Furthermore you can lower the ScreenPercentage number in the ShooterEngine file.
This changes the rendering resolution.
You find the ShooterEngine file located at
Documents > My Games > UnrealEngine3 > ShooterGame > Config
Setting it to 50.000000 makes Dirty Bomb look like this.

Set the file to read-only so that the game doesn’t overwrite your change.
Good luck! :)
so its not laggy anymore, the first few times i start it i cant even get to the tutorial part even after i turn off the advanced settings on video
But now i can play it but the FPS drops when meeting the other player?how could that happen?i mean its pretty smooth when i play the tutorial or open course
heres my Specs detail
Procie:Intel Core™ i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHZ (4CPUs), 2.3GHz
RAM: 4096MB
