My Config Is not working

hey all, I’m new to dirty bomber! I saw that in game I was only getting 40fps and I wanted to get higher. I found out about the whole Config files and what not and tried downloading them. I followed instructions word for word and it didn’t work. One thing I noticed that might be a issue is the fact that most people’s (I’m assuming) end with “.ini” and mine for some reason doesn’t. Another reason might be a new update conflicting with this (as I said I’m brand new so I have no idea). Anyway I was wondering if this is just happening to me or if there is anything I can do to fix it. As a side note I was also wondering which is the best Config file to use!

Cannot help you on which config to use but you are most likely using an outdated one. This most recent patch disabled the ability to remove stuff like explosions, foliage and muzzle flash and older configs that do that will not work.

Sorry to put you through the effort but could u possibly link me to a Config that is newer/updated and will work well with a lower PC build?

As I do not use configs I unfortunately cannot. I would have to search for it just like you.

@Ardez did you say you had a working one? Thought I read that somewhere.

I use a config provided by @Kirel Maybe he will share it? I am not at home right now so I can’t grab it. Sorry!

Thanks, I don’t know what’s happening but I downloaded it and put it the shooter engine and I go the game and nothing is different! Any other possibilities?

Make sure you right click the fps config -> go to properties -> change the file to read-only and hit apply. If you’re interested in using a custom hud, it’s the exact same process.

Yeah I have done that. For some reason it still doesn’t work!

It most likely wont. Like stated earlier, it probably isn’t working because it has restricted settings.

Slight problem… I am following the video and it says to search for “resx”. I search for resx and it says “cannot find resx”!

Edit: nvm I wasn’t searching the right thing!

Yes it works! Thanks guys! Only one slight problem… This Config is kinda distracting and my PC is still pretty bad! I was wondering if there was a updated version of the Config shown in the video. Or at least one that is very similar! I’d really appreciate it
