i hope we’re able to set a class limit in the server like in TF2
*MY* Brink Worries
It is my understanding that you enter every match as a Soldier by default, and then swap as needed at a CP. And as for Crazyfoolish, a team of all Operatives would likely fail pretty quickly and hard, as would a team of any one class, so I don’t think you have much to worry about there.
no, what i mean by “class limit” is, for example if in a server the operative class limit is 2, there can only be 2 operatives per team
Right, I gotcha. But if everyone enters as Soldier, then that won’t really work out well.
So like what, no one can switch to Operative at a command post if the limit is filled?
Haha nope. But seriously, what I mean is that I doubt anyone is going to try to roll as a one-class team, because the diversity of the opposing team will get the better of them. If they do try it, it won’t last long.
hopefully starting as medium and having to unlock, heavy, then light should stop the initial super ninja types, although I’m sure lots will just unlock offline and then want to be stabby stabbys
Yeah i’m just worried about people who cannot learn.
By the way could you help me clear something up…
afaik you cannot change character mid mission. Therefore, you cannot change your perks/abilities. As most* of the abilities are class specific wouldn’t this mean that if a team all chooses a character before the game that is designed for say, an operative, that team will be at a disadvantage if midway through the game they decide to all play a more diverse spread of classes.
I’m not saying that this is a bad thing but do you think that this is the case?
*Speculation
you can change your character class whenever you like, just go to a command post.

You know, that is a good question. Nail had mentioned something elsewhere that you set your weapon load-outs up for each class before the match, and when you change classes during the match, your load-out s change with them… I wonder if the skills work in the same way.
Yes maybe a different set of perks for each character for every class.
You can set your ‘Preferred Class’, unique per character, in the front end. You can also switch class from that during the intro cinematics or during warm-up.
I think I have you all beat.
My husband and I are putting off starting a family so we can play Brink for a few months. Feel free to doubt my sanity.
That is actually quite reasonable. Better to do that than to have a kid and ignore it while gaming.
Also, kids are expensive. Much more expensive than a new PC.
It does take 9 months to pop out, so you’ll get a few months of game time if you fell pregnant soon

At least you guys were not thinking about participating in this. That’s sane enough for me.
“Fell pregnant”?
I’m a physical therapist and I’ve never heard that term before. LOL. I’m just giving you a hard time.
