My Average Comp. Match

I’ve been noticing a few patterns in my ranked matches lately. I’d like to share my experiences so I can tell if it’s just me experiencing this.

  1. Colorful pre-game conversations.

  1. AFK Skyhammers.

  1. Immediate regret you Decided to play ranked.

  1. A player Leaves.

  1. Their MVP triples your MVP’s score.

  1. (This is just a personal one.) You can’t leave without a penalty when you have a bad ping spike.

This is what always happens in every comp. match I’ve played in the past month. I’m still unranked because playing comp. with randoms is such a drag.

I tried playing comp… it was me at level 8, and everyone else on my team was lower. The other team had a 25 and a 24. They were premade in a lobby, but the whole ranking system seems pretty pooped up at the moment. I will probably just stick to pubs.

Min level needs to be level 10, really badly.

Min level does need to be 10. To many noob players. Also i feel like a few other things would fix this.

  • actually put you in matches with you own rank!!!
  • Team matchmaking and solo/duo matchmaking

Min level dosntn eed to be anything. Game just needs proper matchmaking scripts.

Get a group of friends to play comp and almost all of these issues are solved.

Matchmaking just needs to get better, and AFK players should be punished IMO. It’s so frustrating when there’s 10 minutes left in the game and someone in your team says “well f***, I’m out” just because your team doesn’t get the first objective as fast as they would.

And premades should play againstpremades not against 5 random people.

Thats disheartening, I was hoping competitive would save the game for me as I am getting weary of the matchmaking in pubs where 4 times out of 5 one team steamrolls the other.
It doesnt matter if I am on the team that steamrolls or the one that gets steamrolled, I dont feel I can grow as a player in those games.

Well, you should look for a team and try to play scrims, that might be different than playing normal comp.

I’m feeling the same though, but the community is still young, matchmaking is still kinda buggy from what i’ve seen but people will just get better and matchmaking will get better too. Just way and see it’s only a beta.
