Mute doesnt hide chat text?

Yeah so I just had that game with the obligatory spam chat between two players arguing about which of them had the biggest epenis/steam levels… which would had been no trouble if the mute button didn’t allow text to still pass thought. Is it normal, or was that a bug?
Cause not blocking the text chat if player is muted is rather silly imo…

Mute is for voice chat. I’d like it to block text chat too.

Or separate in some cases that you for some reason meet.

And btw, OP, never heard of epenis…?
