Multiple admin support

Has any one been able to get a multiple admin system working on this game? I looks like somebody created a plugin for big brother bot has anyone go this to work?

The Brink server in its current state cannot be supported by BigBrotherBot. Sorry :frowning:

You can use the build in admin system…

Ok hopefully SD can get their act together on this. It is getting tiresome when game developers release a game with limited to no admin support. Keep pushing these guys Courgette this game needs B3 to be successful well and a price drop. lol

Uhm, the in-game admin works perfectly well. There is no need for a third party tool. Just look through the forums and check what we have already concluded before trying to bash something that most of us already got working.

It is however pretty funny that the in-game admin was a left-over from older games and never intended to be used. Nevertheless it works better than say Black Ops and Bad Company 2.

Well I have the in game RCON working just fine. If you want call an admin system that has no global id a working admin system then go right ahead and try to ban a player that just returns to the server with a different name. I am not bashing anyone, I am just pointing out that these kind of things should be worked out prior to release or at least shortly after. A third party tool like B3 is essential for administering a server from the perspective of a large gaming organization. I will not give out the rcon password to hundreds of people nor can I modify a file every time I need to add a new admin.

What do you mean with no global id?

You can create up to 3 admin levels each with their own rights.
Then you can assign those people to these groups so they automatically log into their group.

Then they can use all ingame admin commands.

It looks I was wrong about the global ID, the game does use the GUID as an identifier. Is there a way to look up a players GUID on the server. Like a status command? Unfortunately, I am using Game Servers, so I am unable to create any new files for admin groups. A clear sticky on how to set that up would be helpful for people installing it on their own box.

Search the forum for “guidstates.dat” and check the 4 page long thread detailing everything. All you need is to add your admins to the “Admin” group and then in-game you simply write i.e. "admin kick " and then press tab; which will cycle through all the players. So no need to see a list in advance of all the players GUIDs.
