mp model problem

before i start ill just say i no nothing about modeling other than altering tga and jpg files can give a differnt look

i no that you cant just switch any two picture files and expect them to work so i found the green venom skin that matches the black axis skin and moived it to the pk3 then made the redsoldier1.skin file chose the new file instead of the old one so the body is green and works

the head was the next problem and i needed the gas mask and venom style helmet, i asumed the mask was part of the face model and as far as i new the helmet could not be shot of in sp so that must of been part of the model two which siuts me cos i dnt want it to be shot off

i copied the head venom model and the head skin file, the head model is mdc not md3, is this ok? and changed the head skin file to seach for the new skine file and set when seaching for the helmet model to look for “” in the hope i wouldnt find anyhting

why does my player have no head? :???:

as you see from the angle its using the old head model as the mouth and nose can be seen, the helemt is not there as intended

the texture is not right but i think its becasue its not in aline with the defualt heda model

how would i make it use the sp venom head model?

k got a working venom, i downloaded the axis_venom_snow mod and changed the image files to make them the green instead of the default snow ones, also aplied a red gradient layer over the glass cos the bright blue wasnt working for me

now i can use the different images files to get my different venomers and custom them to get the classes

my problem now, the mod uses the hole venome sp model so the body is changed and it slightly larger than the noramal mp ones, so he doesnt hold the guns right and when u use knife nades or ammo pacs it apears as if he is touching the floor with his left hand

what would i do to switch the default body with the old one?

Would copying the original default model back into your pk3 work?

ime starting to think this is a lost cause

where the mp models are body and a head the venomer seems to be mostly body (probable dude to to the gas canister) which means that i can use it without the venom body and thats where my problem about it being the wrong size is

i though i could maby make/modify a head model to have a gas mask on then use that for the solder model? then just use “” for the helmet

where can i get some good free modeling softare plz?
