moving spawn points on vechicles?

Hi everyone. I have a few ideas for some maps after i finish my map d-beach. Would it be possible to make it so that spawn points can move with a vechcle like a ship or airplane? If so that could open the possibilty of like two battleships against each other or a train war. Is it possible? thanks

im about 95 percent sure you cant, an entity cannot be tied into another entity

Would you be able to make the water, or traintracks, appear to be constanlty moving instead? Like a repeated pattern that goes in a loop? That way the players will think the trains & ships are actually moving and not the background.

I’m quite sure you could make the whole floor a script mover and just move one part after the other to the start again and again but i have no idea how big the impact on game speed would be… somebody enlighten us plz

:clap: isnt it possible to have multiply spawn area’s… cause if so why not have it so that when OBJECT COMES HERE ACTIVATE SPAWN SPOT OBJECT LEAVE SPOT DISABLE SPAWN SPOT… sorr for caps just a bit tired… but it might work if you can have multiple spawn spots! :clap:

Hmmm…

Wonder if the entity can move… like if you gave it a scriptname, or perhaps attachtotag? Probably not, but worth toying with. You can move trigger_hurts for example…

How about making a box out of invisible brushes, and the person spawns inside the box. He or she is forced to follow the box. Then the box is removed and the person is free to walk away. I read something about this, when someone wanted to make a parachute effect (falling down, but not too fast).

It IS possible, using either the method hummer suggested (likely the best way too do it, but the most involved too), or using gotomarkers with the relative flag set, although that wont be very useful aside from moving things in a straight line.

A truck with a spawnpoint would create the feeling of bigger and bigger reinforcements. Cool idea.

yes but destroy the the truck will make spawnkill ? :???:
and the truck will progress very easily :frowning:
