Moving brushes and curves together (alignment question)

(PSIonic) #1

I’ve been wondering…

I have designed a building which contains a lot of curves which I managed to texture align with the brushes adjacent to them. Not I’ve come to the point of needing to more and resize the building. Should I be moving the brushes and curves with Texture Lock on or off to retain the texture alignment?

Also, when I come to the point when I want to resize the building… ie move curves further appart from each other. Should I be using Texture Lock then? Keeping in mind that wall thinknesses will remain the same as before so I will not be “scaling” the entire structure using the Selection menu.

Any one work this thing out yet?

you could try selecting all your brushes, curves, patches then scale it up as much as needed, there is a scale button in the menu somewhere!

Thanks for your reply

Unfortunately like I explained in my initial post, I only want to resize the actual building… not everything in it. The only way I can do this would be moving each brush and modifying them individually. I have no problem with this though. My only worry is how the texture alignment between the patches and the brushes will look after the alteration. At the moment I’ve got them perfectly aligned :frowning:

Any thoughts on how Texture Lock affects movement of patches would be nice to hear. I completely understand how it affects Brush moves. Patches seem to behave a little differently though.
