Moving around CM markers?

For tanks and trucks, the CM marker moves around the map with the mover. What are the bare minimum entities needed to make this happen?

I ask, because I have a hook and crane unit that moves around the map. I’d like a marker to follow it around on the command map. The crane is not using splines though, it’s using path_corners and goto commands.

Anyway, I have a TOI with the custom icon set (which shows up on the CM), the TOI has an origin brush, and is scripted to move around using gotos also. The TOI points at a dummy func_constructible. However, on the CM, the marker simply refuses to move.

Does a spline system need to be used? Does the TOI need to be attached to the tag of a model? Does the “tank” flag need to be checked? Something else maybe?

It’s the tank flag you need. Could have named it something more appropriate, eg ‘mobile’ or summat, but that’s the thing you want.

Cool. I just thougt of that on my way to work today, and thought to myself, “Nooooo… why would they name it ‘tank’?” Thanks for confirming this.
