Check out Rocket Jump Ninja’s videos. A great resource for FPS mouse reviews. Based on his reviews I ended up getting a Logitech G403 after using Corsair M65 for a few years. I’m very happy with the G403.

Currently have the Logitech G9x and its starting to fail on me. Would like something similar that won’t break the bank. AND GO…

According to my experience, Logitech mice are amongst the cheapest ones worth buying. Those aren’t that fancy, but are comfortable and reliable.

I’ve tried a bunch of cheaper “gaming gear” when I was a student, but those either broke, or I simply couldn’t stand them, so I ended up buying a normal mouse - I could save my time and money if I would buy a good one first.

There is no “best mouse”.
It depends on a lot of things:

Your hands’ size
What grip you prefer (palm/claw) AKA do you put your entire finger on the mouse or only the tips of your mouse?
If you want extra buttons, where will be the most comfortable place for you, all on 1 side or spread around
Do you want the mouse wheel to be in the middle or the side (not sure why you would want it on the side but mice like that exist so…)
Do you want your mouse to look nice or do you not care and just want it to be good? (pretty sure I’m the only girly girl here that cares about looks  )
Also if you are a lefty some mice might not be good for you because most of them are made for right handed people.

This is my mouse in case you are wondering (yes I know the quality is bad, I took the first pic I saw on google):

G300s
It looks nice and has 6 extra buttons (but realistically you won’t be able to access the bottom 2 in a fight so it’s basically only 4).
If you have large hands and prefer palm grip then this mouse might not fit you. I have pretty small hands so for me it’s good.
Goes up to 2500 RPM in case you care

Razer mice are considered snake oil merchants.

I did have one, Deathadder, and it bite me. One day it refused to move the cursor, 2 years after warranty…

So best to stay away from these venomous vile creatures!

Nowadays I have Modecom Volcano Mouse GMX2, works like a charm. Don’t believe in those brand qualities.

I’ve been using a Razer Naga Hex for the past 2 and a half years and, minus a few problems with the cursor bugging out every now and then, it’s worked like a charm.
I’m not disagreeing with you, I’ve heard from many that Razer stuff doesn’t last very long, I’m just putting in my personal experience.

wireless or wired?

You kinda can’t go wrong with a mouse?

As far as being functional is concerned, I don’t notice a difference between my $10 Staples (a cheap office supply company out here) brand corded laptop mouse and my $100 Logitech G900. So if your concern is “getting gud @ FPS” then you can roll the dice on any corded mouse and do fine.

The only things that change with cost are pretty much features and longevity.

That $10 Staples mouse of mine is a good 4 years old by now and the only thing wrong with it is the cable sheathing is slipping off. But it’s a standard 800 DPI mouse and works fine. I can still crush with it.

My $35 ReDragon Perdition mouse is wide and fits my large palms nicely, has a great click, has lasted about a year by now and still works like brand new. It has like 12 buttons for MMOs on the side but I don’t squeeze my mouse like I’m trying to kill it so they don’t bother me. It also comes with some software that lets me set up a DPI selector and colors.

My $100 Logitech G900 has the same kinda click and functional response as the other two, it’s no better than the $10 Staples mouse honestly. But the wireless functionality is flawless (literally no response difference between my corded mice and this one), it comes with a nice carry case, and the battery lasts forever. The only reason I bought it is to use it on my laptop; it’s very portable, can be used wireless or cabled, and logitech gear all runs on one USB connector. So my keyboard runs on the same USB and I only need one set of software to control logitech devices.

If you just need a mouse that works, buy any cheap corded mouse. It doesn’t matter at all. You will play just as well.

If you want some LED colors and programmability, you can find something in the $30 - $40 range.

If you want something fancy with multiple functions and such, then you’ll run up near $100 or so.

People talk shit about Razer products but TBH I used a Razer Lachesis for about 5 or 6 years and it never once broke, malfunctioned, failed, got sticky, needed replacement, nothing. I’m sure if I dug it up from my old computer parts it would still work perfectly fine.

So really, find a mouse in your price range and just buy it. You kinda can’t go wrong.

I have the wired version. The wireless one cost an arm and a leg.

If you are right-handed, personally I’m super happy with my Corsair Sabre RGB, perfect mouse:

After breaking 2 Logitech 402 mice i switched to the Corsair M65 Pro, nice smooth mouse; took a little while to get used to the weight tho.

Damn it, Shoe. I already ordered the other one :-p

From personal experience as I have this mouse…if you prefer small compact mouse than;
Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime pretty good, a pretty much gaming mouse.

Before this I had purchased Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury based on great reviews but the mouse is BIG (lol). I couldn’t get used to it with so many buttons too thus returned it for Logitech G302 and it was perfact imo.

Heres my G302 AND G402 before i returned it.

This guy does lot of mouse reviews! I got this after seeing his reviews!

Rival 310 or the more gimmicky Rival 900… who takes their eye’s off the screen to find out if their skill is ready?

I’m currently using Rival 500 and trying to find out how to program the featured haptic feedback of the mouse.
