Mouse Lag @ 2560x1600

Specs:i7 975
1600w psu, 2x5970 quadfire,hd auzentech snd card ,etc…

I am using a gigabyte M8000X mouse and it works great in every game except here. I get that swooshy mouse lag and if I turn up ingame mouse sensitivty then it’s just fast chaos mouse lag:) I’ve had this in a couple other games upon their release and then with patches it was fixed. Not sure if I can be helped but when I set the res ingame to 1920x1200 it seems alot better. Just seems I can’t run my native 2560x1600 without getting uncontrollable mouse lag. Any help would be so much appreciated.:stroggbanana:

At 2560x1600 what’s your fps?

Ye I was getting like 20fps which is horrible. I took off ambient occlusion and now I go between 39-90’s fps which still is bad for my hardware. I think ati needs to release a fix for brink with their drivers maybe.

Ah, yeah well that’s why you have so much input lag! Does Brink even have support for Crossfire?

You know I’m not sure on that one. Good question though. BTW I think BRINK is an awsome game and is a blast. Hopefully the guys over at ati wake up and actually make a decent driver for once. Sigh…Thanks for the help man.

Sorry I can’t help answer your question, but I had a question for you. How did you get your native resolution to show up? My monitor has a funky native resolution at 2048x1152, but the highest resolution I can see in the game is 1920x1080. Every modern game I’ve played to this date has shown my native res at the bottom of the choices.

Umm, maybe the game has certain set resolutions. It might not have that.

Ye it’s weird. My frames are higher now that I turned alot of the graphical options off but at 2560x1600 res I’m getting around 170fps and still feels like weird mouse lag. I sure hope ATI releases a driver fix and I’m well aware of 11.5aHotfart. Yup hotfart and not hotfix;)
