More Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory links!

The current download link for ET is just from fileshack.
Thats just one link.
If you klick on Quake Wars http://www.splashdamage.com/node/57
you get over 14 Download links…
Why dont add more Download Links for WET?
Since you must also wait a time to download from fileshack.

Adittion:
I really dont understand why people have to download the oldest version of ET and patch it 2 times to play it safe.
The first patch is a installation and the second is of replacing files.
Why Splash Damage and iD Software are making it difficult for people to download and get to the newest version of WolfET?
In case, a bunch of Websides just offer “ET 2.60 Full” witch is in fact version 2.55 or the oldest version of ET, 1.0 or something like that and there stands nothing about patches .
I would suggest to:

1.make just a new installation file for ET 2.60b for Windows, that takes 10 minutes dude… :stuck_out_tongue:
2. Or work on a new Version…
If one of the two will be made this would be the last good thing for Wolfenstein Enemy Territory that is loosing sight in view of Quake Wars.
That would be a great birthday present for the 5th anniversaire of WolfET!

  2. That’s unlikely gonna happen by SD, as they have their love on ET:QW and to their unannounced title. But I’m gonna keep my mouth closed, since they released the standard source maps for ET, which I would never believed. And we already got the bd present: sources. :stroggbanana:

    In adittion the 2.60b download http://ftp.freenet.de/pub/4players/hosted/et/Nail/et-2.60b-win32.exe is not official.
    And its the first time that I see a setup like this :stuck_out_tongue:

  2. Yes you are right SD has done much for Wolfenstein ET they made an own download side and “integrated” WET really in here,
    unike iD software or Activision who have done a shit to offer ET as download, though Activision is the publisher…
    Its a pity!
    But now how I told SD offers it and they should offer it in an easier method neither downloading it from fileshack nor patch it a bunch of times.
    It annoyes a lot of people…

We may not be an “official” site, but at least we offer a full 2.60b installer and have it labeled correctly

I know another full installer http://etui.kashu.fr/ .
But this one is not very good because it laggs really I dont know but something is configed wrong…
To your one: Why one has to register?
I even didnt know that I had to because there stood " no downloads yet" when I got there the first time.
I thought there were no downloads.
Therefore I wish a better version to tidy up a little bit because its really confusing the first installer is shit and the other is hard to get and very unknown …

we had to make our downloads registered members only as at one time we had over 500 other sites leaching our bandwidth

Best thing is Splashdamage added our ESL Spring League in their content :smiley: I was somehow surprised. Unfortunately that News arent updated anymore

Glad you like it! It just seemed like the logical thing to do considering the game doesn’t have an official homepage as such - we basically want to make it easier for people to download the game and then get into it and its community.

As always, suggestions for improving the portal are most welcome.

I found an error btw:
The Splatterladder links of the leaderboard dont work because there is missing a “?” in the links:

But the link doesnt work.
But if you add an ? before the “mod=” its works:

the ESL EMS would’ve had a good placement there as its currently the only money involved et tournament around. But its already in the groupstage. Will see how this evolves. The page itself is a great thing btw
