More reasons for reporting?

Any chance we could have more report options other than ‘cheating’ or ‘offensive name’?

An option to report for Chat/voip spam and offensive/hate-speech would be useful. Theres too many kiddies thinking its cool to scream down their mic, or just spewing all manner of hateful crap. I know we can mute players but that doesnt mean they should be allowed to just get away with it.

An automated chat ban for specific keywords or phrases would be pretty sweet.

Aito bans are dangerously exploitable, I would think. And while objective judgement may seem tobbe the most proficient, subjective forgiveness should be better in the long run. Imagine the amount of profane little Jakes and Billies making “UNFAIR BAN, UNINSTALL DISLIKE!” threads if we had auto bans implemented. We have quite enough of those already.

More specific report options is always appreciated. When (and yes, I’m that confident) DB has enough players, an Overwatch system like CSGO might be nice. Honour Bound (one of our moderator) already makes videos on a regular basis, he’s gonna need some fresh content soon, and what better content is there than being Judge Judy?

And Autobahns are awesome.

the definition of hate speech itself is a bit vague because its subjective.

for example, i have a jewish friend who are pretty okay and constantly making jewish jokes. Holocaust jokes are not a problem to him.

but then there are people who gets ignored because he was too annoying and then suddenly he screams that all of us is sexist for not answering him (he identifies as gay or something)

so yeah, Hate-speech and cancer will keep exist as long as the humanity thrives. And i assure you that there are games who tried to pass this “hateful speech” thing and people gets falsely reported everyday so they drop it.

Auto bans are in iffy territory, but I agree with you on more options to report.

Theres a difference between friends making jokes and spewing vitriol at randoms on the internet with the intention of offending though. Even if it doesn’t actually offend you (its the internet, shouldn’t be offended by randoms on the internet yadda yadda) theres just no need for it.

Maybe i’m just getting old and grumpy, but it feels like the days of light hearted trash talking are over, and people just head straight for the N*R JEW FGT death threats. i dunno

And yes, of course people will attempt to abuse the system, just like people abuse the cheat report system because you headshot them a couple times in a game.

People already abuse the reporting system, so, I’m not sure we need more report options.

A week ago (or so) a player reported me for being a 221 level with a private profile. he requested me to make it public (my profile), and even threatened to report me if I did not.

I politely asked him to gofochimself.

Do not give more tools to the tools.

So whats the difference? If they report you anyway with the incorrect option, you might as well give played the correct options to use.

Being a huge troll and purposely wrecking the game for instance should have its own category, instead of having to incorrectly select “cheating” for instance. This actually gives SD more work, as they then have to check the description only to see… oh, it wasn’t a cheater, it was someone being a troll/dick.

Give people proper options and it will be better for everyone in the end. It also shows that SD actually cares about keeping trolls and extremely toxic people out of their game.

I cant imagine the report system takes any notice of a player getting reported once or twice, and if it does i can only apologize to SD team who have had to sort through the number of times i’ve been reported for ‘cheating’. Any semi-intelligent system would only take notice if a player is being reported multiple times per day/match, or X number of times in Y timespan.
