More of the "containment objects"?

I just had a quick look around on Canary Wharf and I must say it looks pretty awesome. I’ve always wanted to see more of the white/yellow “containment” or “cleanup” object such as tents, containers and such.

Seeing as Canary Wharf is indoors it’s “easier” to go nuts with these things since the area, in theory, is closed of and might need some special attention from the “cleanup group”.

The discussion about what sets Extraction apart from other titles have been brought up numerous times. These things makes Extraction look unique and really pretty (in my opinion). I am not talking about actual gameplay right now.

Another thing I really like about them is the clear visibility and character distiction they bring. Doesn’t really matter if it’s a friend or foe next to/around it, you can easily spot them without making the game look like “crap” as it would using picmip and other config tweaks.

So… Are there any plans on adding more of this stuff to the existing maps? If not complete models at least maybe some swapping of textures?

What do the rest of you boys and girls think?

No brainer.

I’ve been sorely disappointed with most every FPS release in the past few years due to the excessive use of foliage, fog, muddy textures, and just general clutter. Quake Wars was about the only recent release that kept the simplicity of map objects and overall visuals to a point where players were the focus.

QW graphics still give me goosebumps. Yeah it’s dated, and yeah if you look closely all the indoor objectives aside from a few main ones are just cubes (the lack of clutter is actually quite a relieve). But you don’t even notice that because everything just has a great atmosphere.

Games from that same era, like modern warfare, also look great but they miss that soul.
