More intensity on C4 and EV objectives

C4 objectives

This has been bothering me for some time, but most of the C4 and EV objectives have roughly the same action’s intensity and it’s pretty slow IMO. This is of course due to the spawn times, distances to reach the objective and EV’s speed.

What I’d like to see in a few maps are C4 objectives that involve spawn waves of 10 seconds. to increase the flood on the objective for both teams. This is a proposition, I say 10 seconds because it would really force us to go berserk, and I love about nothing more but being out of breath when I finish a map :smiley:

EV objectives

I’m waiting to see the new patch, but right now the EV has a few problems that limit the action and intensity of fights :

[li]Impossible to run around the EV (roads are too narrow)[/li][li]The EV pilot is too exposed[/li][li]Airstrikes and Artillery are not efficient against the EV[/li][li]No supplement of grenades possible with ammo packs (maybe a % of chance to get a nade on ammo packs ?)[/li][li]And of course, the Ev’s speed.[/li][/ul]

In white chapel the EV objective is really nice and in “comp” it’s tending to become the most enjoyable map (don’t start me on London Bridge :rolleyes:). But what is great in white chapel is that the EV is here to support, it’s not really the main objective (steal ammo, hack the consoles, deliver), and thus the phases where you escort the EV are shorter. This is the key to success I guess.

maybe not a % chance to get a grenade luck based things are frustrating, but a slower restock rate with that inmind though you cant have an oversaturation of grenades otherwise it just becomes a spam fest
yeah the ev blocking off the streets is very annoying (eg red van and skip bin on overpass LB, slope after church on chapel where the pipes on the right wall) and the clipping on it so you cant cleanly run around it gets very annoying

In wolf when you were full of ammo the last ammo pack gives you a nade, but in DB with the resupply mechanic it wont works at all. and if ammo station give you nades then it can really be the biggest spam fest ever. So I don’t know how to implement this.

Not quite sure if I understood it right, but turning the plant objectives into an ant nest by decreasing the spawn times doesn’t seem right. With “berserk” I assume you mean “running around like a headless chicken”. Well that might suit some players, but not all. In my view coordinated pushes should be the key to success. But yeah, this can’t be said for pub matches obviously or let’s better say it will rarely happen there.

Due to the wrong map design of the first maps. Though I don’t think they will put much more effort into these, but concentrating on the new keeping in mind the problems of the previous ones. :wink:

Was the same like in ET. I don’t really see a problem here, as using the powerful MG on the EV should always be a risk.

Yep, agreed. That’s a big problem. I would also like to mention nades. In general it’s hard and takes too much time to destroy it. And I mean heavy fire like an airstrike or artillery should really do their job properly. :tongue:
I’m for a less difficult destroying of the EV, but in return the EV speed should be faster or faster to repair.

I would like to see a possibility to get nades. Not that you can spam them every second, but maybe even 2 nades right from the beginning.

If you have a field ops present, it shouldn’t be too hard or costly to just each quickly fire a mag into the EV as bullets are effective at dealing damage. I have taken down an EV myself between artillery support and some gunfire. I don’t think nades are necessary to take down the EV at all.

They should allow repairs before fully destroyed though.

I’ve seen you doing that yeah.

Sometimes I even knife an EV to death because I don’t want to waist my bullets. I guess I can knife the EV down within 30 seconds.

Free planting of the c4 would offer a little variety, much like being able to throw the TNT in ET.

Trying to time the tnt to explode in a random place when you planned to kill out and anticipated an enemy rush was always a “LOL” moment when you managed a kill from it.

ev gun position could be buffed but decrease dmg or rof of the mg!!!

TNT explosion kill = five-man grenade

in terms of likelihood that it happens xD
