More dialogue in Merc profile

So this is somewhat in my own opinion. Yeah. Don’t judge plz.

So I’ve been listening to some (unused) voice lines for the mercs and I came across that some/all mercs have different dialogue when opening up their full profile. But looking at present day, most mercs when opening up their profile only gives at least 1-3 lines out of the other dozen lines each one currently has. This sort of also applies with when trading up for a loadout card too when you hear a merc repeat themselves over and over with one piece of dialogue, annoying isn’t it? So this is sort of a small feature but, mind adding in the (somewhat) unused for the mercs for a bit more background on them.

All these personality deepening and inducing things towards characters is nice and in my opinion is one of the things TF2 keeps being popular year after year. Developers gave us some personality traits for each merc there, and community took them as their own putting them in their own adventures. Of course this needed stuff like Gmod and SFM, but you get the point.

So yay for even seemingly small things like these.

A lot of those are used in game on the extended quick-chat dialogue trees, although quite a few are not, as you pointed out. Galavant (audio/music artist at SD) is currently trying to implement more of these “unused” sounds, because he too doesn’t like them going to waste - this is something he mentioned on the recent dev stream. :slight_smile:

The most recent example of this is how he added the sound effects for mercs when they use the turrets, so they start shouting or making pretend gun sounds. Hopefully there will be more additions and audio cues like this coming in the future, as he certainly sounded as if he wanted to use even more of them!
