MODELS!!! THEY ARE GONE?????!!!!!

Hello all,

I’m making a map now but I have a big prob. When I open GTKRadiant everything works but when I want to import a model I can’t see the model. What’s wrong?? Could someone tell me plz???

Do you mean ALL models, even ones included in maps where you could see the models in the past?

If not, and you mean only models you freshly added, you are probably setting the model path wrongly.

It is explained in one of the stickies above, but I’ll explain it again here:

The “model” key in the model’s entity properties should have a value of the path to the model md3 file.
This path should not be the full path, but the relative path, meaning it should start in the “models” directory.

For example, a model located in:
C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\etmain\models\yourmap\yourmodel.md3

Should have a “model” value of:
models\yourmap\yourmodel.md3

Doing this will make the model show in the editor, but also in the game.

Here’s the post I meant… It also explains how to fix this “bug”, but I never tried that. I always edit the path manually.

All the models also in the maps are gone :S

models can be filtered with shift+m(gtkradiant1.4.0), but that does nothing if you haven’t extracted the default game models(pak0.pk3) or installed a game pack(search!) for radiant. check in your /etmain in the /models folder to be sure they’re still there if you have already extracted them.

If not, read a sticky or use the search. Research is key when trying to map. if you can’t be bothered to research, mapping is not going to be your game my friend. gl.

The thing I did: press view->filter->models
then I did it again and it worked :smiley:
