MODELS...HOW!!!!!!???????????????

i can make models, and texture them, but no matter what i do, when i load one up in GTK is says shader image missing, and has no texture, if i BSP it an run map, its the dreaded black an gray, i need serious help, here.! can you help :smile:
i need a comprehensive tute on gettin my MD3’s into game (these are objects not players)for Multi-Player, not single

After getting a PM from CrymSYN (vis Tram Design) about this, I replied with this - hope it works :smile:

I have done some models using 3DMax V4, but it was about 6 months ago so I’ll have a stab at remebering :smile:

OK - make a directory to contain your model below the mapobjects directory. Put the image that you’re going to use to shade your model in there. Now, that is used as the source directory for the BMP texture in 3DMax.

When you export the .MD3, tick the “use smart paths” (I think) in the export dialog.

Also this link is real useful - shows you how to use a shader with your model.
