Models for ET

Where can I get more models to use in my ET maps? I need a lot of variety of plants, trees and bushes besides the ones that come with ET, is there some site where I can find these models? I’ve been searching and can’t find anything… If there’s some other kind of model that I can convert to md3 for ET that’s fine too, as long as they don’t have too many polygons and you explain how I do the conversion, I’m still a newbie you know :slight_smile:

There’s quite a few md3 models of trees and plants that were originally made for Quake 3 that will work fine for ET, try looking for Q3 models as well. Carefully check the readme files for each model though - a few might use textures and stuff derived from Q3 assets, in which case you can’t legally use them in ET.

I’ve tried that but the texture doesn’t appear on the model (says “shader not found”). The models come with .md3 files, a .shader file and .tga files. Where do I put them and how do I make the model texturized?

MD3s need the skin image files to be in a specific place relative to the main folder.
The .shader file goes in the “scripts” directory, and contains the path information for the tga files.
IIRC, the name of the shader also needs to be added to the shaderlist file so that Radiant doesn’t get confused.
