they need to be set as misc_gamemodels for the shader to work, or you could “remapshader” them to new vertex lit shaders.
sniper i had the same problem with misc_gamemodels
to make a gamemodel apear in the game it needs the key scriptname even if you not going to talk about it in the script, its just the server needs to have a name for gamemodels
key “scriptname”
value “tank1”
The “funny” part is that the gun models worked fine. I suppose because they were added as script entities with “attachtotag”.
but if its set as a misc_model, then the tags should not work…
q3map2 strips the surface plains from the misc_model and discards the rest.

Good point. 
For attachtotag to work, the hulls would need to be script entities too.
Thanks carnage, that did the trick… I just wonder why those ET Coding Monkies made some things so unneeded complex 
thats what i though, but for things like tanks that they abviously need some kind of data sent back and forth between the server and client and thats what misc_gamemodels are for
so imagine trying to give comands to ppl in a group but you arnt alowed to use names… difficult, thats why it needs the scriptname
(normal models dont need this as they are “baked” into the map at compile so they are made of the same stuff as the rest of ur map)
