models and textures, where??

I see alot of models and textures in ET while gaming. But I don’t see near half? of them while in Radient. So, where are they? I’ve looked through the .pk3 files and don’t see them, unless they are named something really strange. I’ve also extracted the ones from the .pk3 files and seen a few more in Radient.
There’s a map called escaped and it has a real nice jet/plane in it that I would like to use, but when I look through it’s .pk3 file I don’t see it anywhere. Any clues?

Will textures and models from RTCW work for ET?

Thanks,
ZoSo

The Plane isnt in escape for sure  ( I am the maker of it),… I think u mean the assault
but i have the same probs need some electrical furniture other models,… I am too stupid or what to find nice sites,…
But for the Ariplanes I could have an explanation,… If u download g-max (for free) u can get a lot of flight models from the flightsimulator2002. g-max is a light version of 3dsmax or so if I did understand correctly,…
Anyway many people make stuff for the Flightsimulator with it.

ase models which are used for static objects are compiled into the map and don’t need to be included in the pk3. People don’t include them so that they can keep a smaller pak size. Md3 models have to be included in the pk3. However all textures (even for ase) have to be there so it’s just a matter of finding them. The radiant textures menu only shows the shaders from the scripts folder in etmain, and whatever texture folders you have added. There are however other textures scatered around the models folder of etmain and inside texture folders within pak files. If you want to look at all of them then extract the pak files inside a folder within etmain and then do a search inside etmain for all .jpg and .tga files. The search string should be .jpg,.tga and it will give you everything.

misc_models (regardless of the filetype) get cooked into the .bsp, so don’t need to be included. The same goes for foliage models as well.
