Model run error!

Model run error!
When compiling a BSP on a max5 model(which is sitting in its own folder under mapobjects/mymodels) which also is textured(the textures are bitmaps sitting in the same folder)I cannot finish the BSP on the test map as this error comes:
************ ERROR ************
Error opening C:/Program Files/Return to Castle Wolfenstein/Main/maps/testoffice.srf: No such file or directory

Now when I remove my model the BSP finishes and the test map runs as usual…so obviously the model IS causing the error.

The model (for SP and not MP)is being exported out of Max using Ticals MD3 exporter(its current)that he made for Wolf/Quake file extension.
The model(rather high vertice count)has 3754 vertices and its made of Polymesh.
The test map doesnt give me the error that there are too many vertices on one surface(as this isnt the case here!)as the error seems to be summat else.
If there is somewhere I can zip the model to I would be dead grateful as I am a noob to Max(this being me first model) and I desperatly need all the help I can get!!!
Would anyone have a clue as to what is going on here? :banghead:
Any suggestions are real welcome!!!
Cheers!!!

Hi dotty,

I just made a reply to your post at rtcw.co.uk
http://www.rtcw.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?s=ac8550b48a883728a0e55b73dff82ebd&threadid=9493

can you re-import the md3 ok into max ?
if not its probably because md3 is not good at large models.
try exporting as an .ase model.

Ok, dotty has sorted this problem, it was he was using bitmaps instead of
jpg or tga.
